It’s not often that we get snow in Southeastern North Carolina so when we do it is considered a “snow day” which carries as much clout as a national holiday in these parts. The whole family (siblings, cousins, and neighborhood kids) took advantage of the day off of work and school to play in the snow. The driveway and parking lot was the official sledding area of our new winter playground. Dad busted out the John Deere Gator and pulled all of us around on boogie boards. You have to do what you have to do when you don’t have any slopes and only beach gear. I hope you enjoy the pictures of how serene the barn looked blanketed in snow and get a kick out of us making use of our summer toys in January.
